Disability: Camera

Tue Jun 24, 2008, 12:58 PM
So I went to my parents house in Michigan for a few weeks and while I was there my dad let me use his much much nicer Canon 9G, which I fell in love with. It isn't a DSLR, but it's close enough (and more economical). Now that I'm in Ohio and have to go back to my old Optio I feel handicapped. This stupid camera won't even let me adjust Aperture or Shutter Speed...only ISO. It's the most frustrating thing in the world.

I think its time to invest in a new camera...

Is it worth the upgrade? Or should I wait until my photography gets better in general? I really am beginning to think I've reached my limits with my current camera, but maybe I'm being narrow minded?

Thoughts?

well i can't offer any tips or advice, but my dad just bought a new DSLR and it's amazing, so i know how you feel having to go back to a simple model!
